Who can act as an appropriate trustee for a deed of trust?

You can check the Trustee for the Deed of Trust on the "Property Tab".

Description

Who can act as an appropriate trustee for a deed of trust may have requirements that vary by jurisdiction.

An option available to all customers is to have the trustee for deeds of trust identified as one of our default trustees, a party that GoDocs understands to be acceptable by jurisdiction.

We do have the option for the lender to either identify a specific trustee per state for every order or have an open field for your data entry per order. If the lender has elected not to use the GoDocs default trustee, then the lender is solely responsible for ensuring the correctness of the trustee name and qualification of trustee under such state's law. Please contact the Customer Support Team for assistance in activating or deactivating this feature.
