Why do our scheduled payment amounts differ from the GoDocs' payment amounts?

When calculating scheduled, or installment, payments, the GoDocs system does not apply numerical rounding until the amount is displayed.

By applying rounding at the end of a calculation process, this allows for a "more accurate" payment amount. GoDocs does understand that some customers use systems and calculation methods that may apply rounding to the values at every stage of the payment calculation. While the difference in application of rounding rarely creates an issue, when it does, it is generally by only cents and not dollars.

The scheduled payment calculation formula is not a controllable setting. When a revised payment amount is required the Word format documents may be updated with the intended payment amount at the user's discretion. Payment amounts are referenced in section C of the Promissory Note.

Some customers choose to stay silent on the monthly payment amount in the note altogether and, instead, have the calculation method explained in the note so the actual amount can be handled by the servicer, separately.
